Chicago here, 4 bucks for the cheap stuff.
Just wondering because here in Ga Prices seem to be going up pretty rapidly. I mean within just two week i've seen a .30 to .40 increase!
These are just average prices that i noticed this morning on the way to work
Chicago here, 4 bucks for the cheap stuff.
I paid 3.88 for premium on Thursday.
We buy gas by the liter and it went up yesterday from $1.14 to $1.23. There is a rumor it will be close to $2.00 by the time summer gets here.
1.32/liter here (NS)
for the 'mericans a liter is about a quart
Hey elmo, thats where I am from originally, what part? I was born and brought up in the Annapolis Valley and moved to Truro.
Wow, you guys have got some ugly gas prices. I imagine most of Canada is like Michigan, not much chance to use mass transit for most of us that live in the boonies.
I'm thinking of getting another horse and getting a hitching post for outside work. Grass has to be cheaper than gas.
Whynot just get one of those 100mile per gallon scooters?
i wish i still had my civic.
3.49 last i lookd, glad i get 30MPG city driving
Seriously, A Prius sounds better every day. 48mpg City.
$3.52 in Southeastern Pennsylvania
$6.85 hometown in Poland.
Generally I don't look at the price of gas, I need it, I buy it, bitching about the price won't affect it. I also get to hear how all of the candidates will help us out.
McCain wants to suspend the tax for the summer, neat but those taxes go to fixing the roads, and Michigan already donates more taxes to that then we get back, and our roads are showing it.
Clinton wants to let the businesses pay our share of the taxes, good idea, increase the cost to a business and they'll raise the price. Let's face it, Apple has a higher profit margin then Gas companies do, it's not their fault that the demand has increased exponentially in China and India.
Some Democrats want to divert from the Strategic oil reserve, but if we do that OPEC will reduce it's production, so prices will essentially stay the same, and we'll have less hoarded, also not a good idea. The gas price is what it is, and will likely stay or get worse, until we start finding alternate sources. If the prices continue to get high, E85 may start to look like more of a solution. However that will just increase the food crises. THE END IS NIGH . . .
I think we should really consider an alternative source that would be compatible with the engines we use. I was reading that there are some out there, but they are still testing the long term effects
The e85 ethanol is usable in many of the newer cars, and by newer, many of the American made cars from the 2000's, you'll have to look it up. The Japanese have been focusing on the Hybrid models instead.
im seriouslly thinking about getting a scooter, $5 a month in gas, lower end CC engine scooters dont even need insurance. they are staring to sell big where i live due to gas prices
I've got an 18 mile ride to work, I'm not certain a scooter would be the way to go for me.
Almost $4 here, probably within a week, it will be $4. :D
Where do you live Bill? They said the price is going up to at least $1.40 per liter before summer hits here.
That scooter thing is sounding good! Of course I have my motorcycle license so I could get a small bike. Kawasaki being my favorite, dirt bike and make it road worthy.
Just Hit 4.30 Here For the cheap stuff.
This is getting ridiculous, there is NO gas/oil shortage. The oil companies have made in the billions last year and they still want to raise the prices? I was going to drive across Canada this summer so I will have a car when I get home but now it may be cheaper just to sell the car, fly home and buy a new one when I get there.
I got a 2000 honda civic & took $36.75 to fill up from slightly below 1/4 tank. It used to be physically impossible to put more then $25 to fill up. Of course it's going back few years but I remember running out of gas on my way home from the shore & got my car towed to next rest area. Filled it up & came out to $24.17. That's from highway rest area where gas prices were generally speaking higher then normal, too.
Increased demand from China has produced an increased price, do not expect it to go down anytime soon.
Lets go to war with China next!
