Not sure exactly the type of file AMR is but I know on my friends T226 he can play SONGS as his ringtones.
I thought my T310 was superioir and was theorizing on converting an mp3 file 2 amr so I could have similar results.
Is this possible or is there any other way 2 have songs as a ringtone (not polyphonic)

You cannot do such a thing with T300 nor T610 or T68i...
I don't know about T226.
I 've already tried it...

My friend does it withouth *hacking The phone at all.. I'm not sure how he does it. Probably pays 2 download because his computer knowledge is minimal. But this feature is not stated as one of the capabilitys of the T226 at SE.

It is easy to fool anyone by playing songs with lyrics and even setting them as ringtones.
This can be done by recording the music in .amr format (audio recording format). This can then be played back on any phone. Playback of tones in .amr format is supported by almost all SE phones including T310, T226 and T610 etc. Your friend has recorded the music by placing the microphone next to the speaker of his/her T.V./Hi-Fi system. Alternatively, u can download such tones from a few WAP based sites on tagtag.

HI, I use a T300, Does the phone support wav other than amr.... since we know that amr is not that loud on the phone and it is not allowed to be used as a ringtone on the t300, what is your opinion on this...?

You can edit the Wav file before conversion to meke it a bit louder but are you sure that it cannot be set as a ringtone?
