Which firmware do you use? *#9999# maybe i have it for you and you don't have to use the dumper, but even if you do backup your firmware and flashing fails, flashing the backup can fail to so its not that importand to backup your firmware.
Just flash and see what happens

there's a way to dump firmware? no programs are avail for the x427/x426, so i'd love to use one that can dump firmware

I allready have the firmware wich I need to flash (X10BEWL1).. I just need to backup my software because this is branded from the provider.... better to keep it in case I need warrenty (I'll flash it back then ofcourse....)..
Do you know where to find dumper 3.3 ??

Well, you don't need to post your email, because I plan to tell you where, but not send it. Sorry. Go to the firmware and flashers 1 post and there are many programs available. Don;t know if downloader 3.3 and dumper are the same, but I hope that helps. There is also optiflash, which can backup any phone that the program supports (quite a list, so check it) and will also help when you plan to modify or update your firmware. As far as the x426, please refer to the other post you made, because I listed all the info for you there.
