Okay, I tried making my first ringtone from a wav file and had mixed success. It doesn't handle dynamic changes very well, so I'll have to compress the dynamics some. It's also a bit fuzzy, though.
Is there anyone who has had good success that can share some tips?
How can I get rid of the fuzziness?

here's how i process the audio before converting to .mmf using the free yamaha download:
1. open file in STEREO 16bit 44.1kHz
2. trim to loop i want
3. convert to MONO 16bit 44.1kHz
4. hi pass filter at 200 Hz (the crappy V200 speaker can't reproduce
any decent bass, so cutting it out allows you to boost the overall
gain more)
5. slight hi shelf boost around 8kHz (+3dB) to improve clarity
6. use compressor/limiter to soften peaks & maximise signal
7. convert to MONO 16bit 8kHz
8. normalise to -0.1dB
Can anyone think of ways to improve the overall volume and clarity?
ta.
