Hi
I have got a new e710 and I am very happy with it, except for the annoying Vodaphone software that is pre-installed.
Can someone explain what flashing is (if this is what I need to do to remove Vodaphone software.
Also is this something a complete novice can do? I am willing to have a go but would like more info before!
MAny thanks

Yes flashing will remove the vodafone crap. All you need is a cable, optiflash and the right firmware..

Samsung SGH-E71x »»»
E75UVWL2 : Mon Dec 22 15:51:20 2003
E71BUWL2 : Tue Dec 02 21:35:57 2003
E75UVWK4 : Mon Nov 24 12:05:32 2003
E75 = E715 firmware it will change your band from 900/1800MHz to 900/1900MHz and you will lose the video recording capebility. And no more Vodafone but T-Mobile wich looks much nicer.
E71 = E710 ehm vodafone

In a few days or weeks there will appear a unbranded E710 firmware so untill then will have to live with the vodafonic one.
