imo nokias are still king at being a phone...

I mean the reality is that phones make for pretty average digital cameras, If I want to take a photo I'll use my camera.

ringtones, well I have mine on silent more often than not.

nokias have better battery life, are robust (I drop phones a lot) I don't need an 8 trillion colour screen, I just need a small, sturdy phone that has plenty of memory, my 8310 works for that.

DO NOT BUY ANY ERICSSON PHONES!!

mmm well perhaps this is too much....think twice before buying any ericsson phones icon_smile.gif
I was a faithful customer of ericsson mobile phone...GF768, T28, T39m, but now that i own a shining Nokia 6610 i can say screw ericsson...its software is extremely slow and buggy!! Even after many firmware upgrade...if you want to write an SMS for example, the longest the SMS is, the slowest the phone become...and after many hours of use of the phone it will certanely crash...
Maybe I have been unluck with all my phone...but this is my impressions, now I'm very happy to own a Nokia and I think I will never buy an ericsson anymore...

ps sorry for the english

LOL, I DEFIENTLY think that Nokia's are the better phone. When comparing easy of use (especially the menu system!)/Battery life Nokia wins hands down. I have never liked the way other phones worked and even the new LG is copying the Nokia design, why BECAUSE PEOPLE PREFER THE NOKIA DESIGN.
It also leads to a fact, Nokia's ARE THE No.1 selling phone because THEY are better and people prefer them icon_smile.gif

I agree but I hope it will continue with its development to maintain its No 1 position. I recently found that the Sony-Ericsson phones have a drastic improvement over the Ericsson phones. I am actually looking forward to the launch of T610. Once again, I am impressed by the Panasonic GD88. The 16 chord ringtones are just wonderful!

4096 or 16K ... watever the color is ? i think it will all come down to the KILLER APP... if a application comes along which becomes so very popular , then probably people would buy the fones for the application and then would a screen resolution or color would matter... icon_biggrin.gif... like the PC industry where the need for a faster PC is dictated by the applications in the market.

Say for example Multiplayer Gaming on bluetooth or High res camera ... the list goes on. I think phone independant Multiplayer gaming over Bluetooth could become a biggy.

well in the phones market....new phones are always coming out n getting better....why complain? those new phones are supposed to be better than the current phones we have...u want the best..go get the latest phone whenever there is one..

i think nokia phones are still among the best....they hav a reason why they can go the top n hold the biggest market share...they r good in the first place n better than the rest...haha..competition is good.. unlike the software industry...windows windows windows!

lol, Nokia is producing only mobile phones and satelite recievers! Panasonic & Samsung you know better than me!!! but nokia is producing 100,000 mobile phones when samsung only 1000, cause everyone now has Nokia, it attracts you!!! all nokia phones have the best design! and it's good!!! very good!!! but not better in technical parametres than samsung, but I'll never confess in it, cause I like nokia more!!!

Siemens are very good, too.
What I really like about Siemens mobiles is, that you can do firmware upgrades at home, customize almost everything and the S55 for example has almost every feature that is possible.
Add to that a nice design (at least for business people) and an excellent customer service.
Only bad thing is the crapy 256 colors display. But the new ones also have a 4096 colors display. (SL55, M55, etc..)

In my oppionion, Siemens mobiles have a promising future.

i think brand loyalty is in nokia's side, once you use a nokia chances are you will stick to a nokia only. And there are many reasons for that

1 Style
2 Easiest Menu layout
3 ergo' design
4 Amazing reception
5 Good voice quality
6 tuff battery icon_nuke.gif

so watever SE ? Samsung or Siemens do i think Nokia is gonna have Mass market icon_biggrin.gif
