I bought an MA-620 adapter over a month ago and I've tried to get my E700 to talk to my PC using both the MA-620 Handset Manager software and the Easy Studio software but to no avail. I've put the problem to a number of different forums, have had numerous suggestions but still no joy.Everything appears to be set up OK, I have installed the drivers, tried every speed and every available port but I still get the "offline" message.Yes I have activated IRDA on my mobile but it still doesn't want to talk. I'm so desperate that this is probably the last message you'll hear from me.

Does windows see your phone when you activate your phones IR and put it next to the IR device?

I'm not sure what you mean when you ask "Does Windows see your phone"? If you mean do I see the IR icon in my system tray then the answer is no it doesn't.

Hi,
Try this software for your cable.

This is the Handset Manager software and as I mentioned in my original post I have tried this along with Easy Studio but I'm having no luck with either.
What astonishes me is the vast number of E700 users who are having problems with the USB adapter. From the feedback that I have seen on this and other forums there must be thousands of us and I ask myself the question, "why, why, why"?

Are you sure that you have exactly same version of software? I heard that the software offered on Installation CD (from IRDA adapter) have some bugs and a new version (link that I provided you) was released.

Hi
I was wondering if that solved the problem? I have a Samsung e710 and need to buy a USB Infra Red cable. I'm guessing that I shouldn't buy the
MA620!
Any suggestions which one I should get?

I hate to admit it but after trying for over 6 months I finally gave up. I've bought myself a Fujifilm digital camera for just over £100 and it's great. No problem downloading to my PC either!
