hey I FINALLY got sound forge, i made some ringtones but the size it too large for my phone... when i decrease the quality via yamaha it sounds really bad, i dont want to decrease the length of the tune, even though it is 10 seconts the file is still too big... im currently using a S500, and i think the maximum file size per ring tone is 30kb.... is there any solutions to this without decreasing the tune length? using sound forge 7.0 can i decrease the size of the wav?

I think the only way to keep the quality up and the file size down is to shorten it i'm afraid.

EasyGPRS won't transfer ringtone (mmf file) if it's over 40KB. At least that's the case for my E105. I don't know about other models' ringtone size limit

The E7** series has a 32kb limit, the V2** series has a 40kb limit as does the E105

the problem with sony soundforge is that you only can cut a peace of mp3 of 5 sec, than if you convert it to mmf you get around 16 kb so for 10 sec its 32 kb. I got a song @ my brother Samsung T100 and its around 2 minutes long and only 16 kb. Isnt there something you can make the song longer without getting over de limit of 32 kb. With the Soundforge you cannot go lower dan 8000hz. If you go lower the size aint matter any more it will be still the same as the 8000hz.
