Hi guys, I've regiestered because I have an annoying problem. I've had my v600 for about 2 days and today received my Dlink dbt 120 bluetooth adapter. I've gone through the setup and managed to send a picture from my phone to the pc but not the other way round. Every time that I try to do it the connectionn keeps timing out.
I'm assuming that it has something to do with my service settings but I'm not too sure.
Any advice would be great
Thanks
Kev.

Yea I've done that. My computer can see the phone but keeps timing out whenever it try's make a connection. It's got to be something I'm doing wrong, but I can't put my finger on it.
I have sent pictures from my phone to the pc, thats not a problem, it's just the other way round that the problem occurs.

I have the same problem with my V525, using Bluetooth via Smart Modular Technologies BlueOpal adapter. Downloading pictures from the phone works every time, but I can't upload files.
The "Copying" dialogue locks up with "Copied 12648 bytes of 12648 bytes" (or whatever the complete file size) and nothing appears on the phone. Attempting to cancel or close the dialogue does nothing. The only way to clear it is to kill the process.
This is the first time I've ever tried any kind of file transfer between PC and phone, so it's probably something I've overlooked. There just doesn't seem to be a great deal of configuration that can be done either on the phone or PC.
Regards,
Christopher

I got exactly the same with my V600 and the latest BlueOpal / SMART Bluetooth - it always hangs on "copying 999 bytes of 999 bytes".
A tad frustrating to say the least. I got to change the "hello moto" jingly ringtone to something worthwhile soon!
Has anyone got a particular Bluetooth adapter to work with the V600 (or V525 I guess)?
I guess it'd be a lot cheaper to get one at PC world or somesuch rather than be mugged by motorola.com ...
ta,
Ant.

I didn't have any problems with my usb bluetooth adapter.
Sorry, can't tell you the make of it right now, but will when I get home tonight.
I got it from ebay, around £15, but they can be had cheaper. Just depends
on whats available when you bid. One of the chaps at works just won an auction for £8 (+£4 postage).

I have a D-Link DBT-120 and it works perfectly both ways. It also works while the phone is on the charger w/o a problem. Try setting both devices to discover eachother at the same time. After they have found eachother and you have set a PIN restart your computer (this might not be necessary). When you boot back up select "Search for devices in range" from the left menu of the bluetooth window. You should see the v600. Click on it to display your options. Then click on OBEX file transfer. Copy and paste your files accordingly in the 3 folders...
I did have to play around w/ the setup for a while... rest assured I had similar problems until I figured it out... and it does work...
