I'm using an aftermarket cable, and when plugged in, it also charges the phone. Doesn't have a switch to change to data or anything. Cable works absolutely fine, so I'm not sure why some people are running into errors. Are you sure that you installed the Samsung Modem properly?

i am looking for the drivers for this data cable i have sam r225 data cable and a e715 phone
the usb one i have works but no flashing with it

I have a SGH E715 , and i got my USB cable from Eforcity off their Ebay store (search for E715 cable). After installing the USB 2 serial driver, it works fine with my phone. Flashing and EasyGPRS work as they suppose to. Email me and I might able to help
Oh and I also found a program that convert mp3 into mmf realtones, and it works perfectly on my E715, it calls Magix Ringtone Maker, so do a google on that if you want realtones for your E715.
.....still havent been able to unlock the phone, so if anyone has any idea, give me a head-up.
