Samsung E715 WORKING Software PLEEASE!

Hello everybody,

this would be my first post here in this forum. I have been a cellular enthusiast for a long time but I cannot solve this riddle.

I bought Samsung E715 from T-Mobile and recently I managed to unlock it. After that I bought a cable from Ebay. Today I received it and was eager to check it out. I downloaded Easy Studio and installed all the needed stuff including the SamsungGPRS modem. Though when I opened it it says taht my phone is offline. And I know I sepcified the RIGHT COM port. After that I read somewhere that Easy Studio is incompatible with E715 (it is only for E700) so I downloaded Easy GPRS from the Samsung FUN (Europe). Though the same problem happens. I open the software (my phone and cable are already connected to COM 1) and the software loads, the phone beeps (which I guess means that the software tries to access the phone) but the software does not load ANY data. Moreover, it stills shows in the status bar that I am OFFLINE.

Anyone? Any idea how I can fix this or did I jsut waste my money on that? Is there some other software I can use? Something called Easy Suite (I read stumbled across this name a while ago but can't find a software with that name)?

So it's Easy suite i am looking for eh?

The problem is that I have been fiddling around with the E70x cables.. which may not be compactiable with e71x

And my V200 cable which should work with e71x and not e7xx is out for loan, and have not been able to find a solution for this problem..

Another thing to keep in mind, we should not be able to download the videos clips from the vodolized fone eh?

Well..I do not know the software name. I jsut saw Easy Suite somewhere mentioned. As far as the cable is concerned...I remember I bought in Ebay a E715 cable and no E700, so I think it should work.

Is there a solution at all.

Switch the cable to DATA set your speed to 115200 and connect the cable with your phone after you've started EasyGPRS 2.1.8

You said to switch the cable to data, I guess you meant switching the Port in the SETUP menu to COM1 or COM3 because that is what I did. I connected the cable to COM1, set EasyGPRS to check COM1 at the speed you gave me and connected the phone. The phone beeped (and by the way the strange thigs is that when I connect the cable to the phone the battery meater starts showing that the battery is being charged) and nothing happened. Clicked "Reload" nothing happened again. Closed the program and the phone beeped again.

It is written underneath SAM V205/R225 (Should E715 work with this cable?).

Any ideas?

By the lack of any feedback I guess I have to return my data cable....

But yes i thinks its the cable cause your suppose to have a switch on the cable.

I am facing the same problem as braathwarw is facing i bought a cable which is actually for X100 and X600 but on its manual it is clearly written that it is suitable for E715.

However after i connect it show me offiline in GPRS 2.1.8 and futher in Easystudio & File manager software.

Also when i plugin the cable it make a beep sound and then it starts charging the phone.

i want to ask you that by changing the cable did your problem solved or not so that i may not waste my money by puchasing other cables

You've got the wrong cable your phone isn't suppose to act like its charging get a cable made for the V200/S300/P400/E715 or E710 don't get one that says that it works with the E700/E710 and E715 cause e700,s500,e100,x100,x600 use the same cable but the rest uses a different one.
