BTW, it was the second IrDA device I've bought. The first an ES620 (supposedly compatible with the MA620, just wouldn't work what ever I did. I evetually got rid of it on Ebay for less than I paid), so it may be that it's just not compatible with the phone. However the ES620 I had wouldn't even detact the phone in windows, which my new one did even before I downloaded IrComm2k.
Hi there,
Was your ES-620 called an Edisonsoft 620? i bought a Bafo BF-120 but when I install it, it is identified as a Edisonsoft. It works on my son's Nokia but no luck on my Alcatel. Sounds like I may have to ditch it. Any suggestions on a better brand?
Thanks,

Meh. I already did al those things. XP even once detected a "samsung gprs modem". But, when I turn on irda on my phone, XP doesn't detect a thing, which means I can't do anything Even when the irda is run as a fake comm port, and I select that port in EasyStudio, nothing happens. Could anybody help me? Btw im using the es620 cable (but maybe that is the only problem....).
