dj_aj28,
Format your micro SD card in your cell phone per the User Guide first, then follow the procedures above. Formatting it on your PC won't let you get through. -Trauma

Please help. I have a vx6100 and have spent about 7 hrs today trying to send a ringtone I created to my phone.
When I email it as an attachment to my cell#@vzwpix dot com (I am registered), absolutely nothing happens until a while later my email bounces back. The bounced email says "Wap encoding error".
The facts:
It is a midi file- though I also tried an mp3 and mid file.
I emailed it from mac Mail application, yahoo and mac internet mail account- same thing with each.
It is only 100 kb
I used Garage Band to create my own, exported to iTunes as MP3, then changed the extension.
Anyone know why this is happening?
Thanks

Everyone Go Check out the LG Talk forums. I have two forums that i will show anyone how to make their own ringtones and send them to your phone...
It searches your computer with the browse function and you choose what you want to upload. From MP3's to Wav's whatever. If you set up an account there you can even select the length and section of the song you would like to download to your phone. It cost me the same cost as a text. IF that helps?

Does anybody know if it's possible to make a midi sound file a ringtone on the vx8100?
I made the ringtone on a website and received the file as a picture message. I saved the sound file, and now I'm unsure if I can use that file as a ringtone. Can anyone help?
