I was just wondering if you can still email self made tone to yourself any more. I was going to give it a try, but after reading that it might not work any more I figured I'd ask before I wasted my .25.
Thanks for any help.

Here what I did, I don't have any type of mp3 program like Gold wave. I used a 40 sec wav clip and sent it from my yahoo account to my vzwpix account. Oh yeah the song is a realtone. I didn't rename anything and I have Winamp 5.03.
1. open your vzwpix.com account
2. in a new browser window open your email account, go to compose
3. then click attach files
4. under the attached files select browse for file one
5. select any small song clip ( I am guess that free mp3 song samples will work)
6. click to attach file, it will then up load the song
7. send email message with attached file to your vzwpix account
8. then you will recieve a text message with the song to your phone not the account
9. then listen to the message and under options select save sound
10. now set it as your ringtone
This is the first time that I have tried this and the first time that this has worked. And the song sounds alittle fuzzy but it okay. I have a Samsung SCH 670, so good luck!

I received the mp3 clip and it played fine. However when I tried to save the clip, the phone said the file had to be 30K or less. What gives? BTW I have the LG6100 and it works with midi files.

Hey everyone. I new to the forum, and I want to thank everyone for the great information. I was stuck trying to convert my .mp3's to .mid. Now I got it good. It was so simple and easy. Now I can just email them straight from my yahoo account to my phone, and 5 or more at a time. Now I don't have to pay $.25 each pix message. And they are loud and clear. I tried to email them before renaming it a .mid, and the sound was horrible. I was fuzzy and low. Thanks alot everyone.
