Anyone having problems accessing the MY THEMES link in sonyericsson's wap site? Whenever I use my phone to connect online, I can't seem to access it. I used to access it without any problems for the first 6 months of owning the phone (T300) but lately it gives me a "not acceptable" message. What gives?!! I've double checked all configurations, they are all correct.

I have already contacted the main guys at SE. There seems to be a problem in the internal document linking. They are working on it and it should be solved quickly.

I will contact them again. In Mumbai, the guys at the Hutch tech support don't even know the difference between WAP and GPRS. icon_smile.gif

Opinion: There is a problem with the Image upload page in your
Wap.sonyericsson.com site. I have been trying to upload a few of my pictures on
the My Pictures folder and having no luck doing so. I frequently get a Page
Error. Also the Themes Editor page has some problems as well. Whenever I
download anything to my mobile phone from your site, I receive an unusable file.
It usually ends up being deleted. Please correct this problem and the latter
statement. Moreover, the previous version of this website was MORE stable than
the current version. I hope this helps in future upgrades to your site. I've
been enjoying my Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone for quite some time, but I hope the
web support is more reliable. Thank you. icon_exclaim.gif

She kept insisting that my ph is not gprs compatible, lol, and i had to try my level best that if i have gprs subsscription why i wld be using a ph thats w/out gprs. Goodness me!

Here is another example of their limited ken of knowledge. Last night, I called up the tech support staff and asked them about the launch of EDGE services in Mumbai. I asked this coz Airtel is gonna lauch the service by June. What they replied knocked me out! They said that they had this service on offer and it had been available since a few months. It was only after a few more queries that I came to know that they were referring to the GPRS APN service that costs Rs.499/- per month.Confusing GPRS and EDGE???
Man, this is totally disgusting and I never expected this from the mouth of a support person working for the leading service provider in Mumbai.

goodness Gforce, and i can imagine ur frustration as i too have gone through this technical support shockers, lol.
Anyway, i have been following it up with both Hutch and local Sony Ericsson support and one interesting thing has come up. The Sony guy says the problem is not with thier handset or wap site but with Hutch, as their GPRS services are not up to the mark. I am yet to confirm this, but if this was true, then no other site wld open as well. But other sites such as esato and yahoo work fine and i am able to download stuff as large as 60kb frm my own wap server. dunno when this prob is gonna resolve.

I auto downloaded wap settings into phone.. but with no use! can any one explain me what could be the problem? On my T310, I am yet to browse any wap site icon_sad.gif
