This can generally (note I said generally) be avoided by managing the visibility options within the Bluetooth settings. For security purposes, users should always leave their visibility set to 'invisible to others' unless they want to exchange data or pair new devices.
Otherwise, hope your gf doesn't mind me calling

It helps, but doesn't guarantee to be save. It helps, but the phone still can be hacked.
Deactivating bluetooth is the only secure method.

By sending AT commands to a bluetooth enabled mobile phone, one can
easily access, modify, manipulate the phone. Blooover is one such freeware (source code not released though).
U can easily get the AT commands by gooogling "Nokia GSM AT Commands"

ive just bought blooover 2 and btexplorer but having a nightmare trying to get it on my samsungd600! does anyone know how to do this been trying all day
