As I saw in the news, Sony-Ericsson T610 (Firmware R1A081) and Nokia 6310i (Firmware 5.50) have been "accidently" hacked bye a german Linux freak.
He wanted to write some programs for Linux so he can use his phones with his notebook running Linux. By doing this he discovered a security a security hole.
He discovered that everybody who knows how, can now use every of this phones which are near to his bluetooth notebook. He can make calls, send SMS, MMS, read the phonebook, do everything. And this without the phone owners knowledge.
Worst case scenario:
Someone who knows how goes to a airport (or somewhere else where many people are)... waits till somebody with one of this phones is in range and forces the phone to dial a 0190 or 0900 number (in germany the very expensive numbers, over 3 Euro per minute) which is registered to this guy... so he makes much money in a pretty short time.
This security hole can only be "repaired" by turning off bluetooth complete!
PS: could one of the mods make this thread also visible to the Nokia and Sony-Ericsson forum?

I wanna find out how to do this. And I really hope SE and other Major Manufacturers fix this... this could be pretty severe.

As I read, it should be so easy, every 14 year old school kid who knows Linux can do it...

1. Wrong post
2. Read the rules
3. If it is locked by your provider, call him, he can give you the unlock code for money

There is a rule in the Netherlands that if you're phone is older then 1 year with the same provider, the provider has to give you the lock-code with no charges. However the don't give it automaticly to you, you will have to ask for it.
