I'm a newbie with the service. I just got myself a v300. I plan to take a lot of pictures with my phone since I travel 2 weeks out of the month (business.)

Anyway, I need to email the photos to my clients. My questions is, what is the difference between "Photo Messaging" and "T-Zone limited"? I understand the web stuff with t-zone but the confusing part is the email with photos. Both are $9.99 (I believe.)

Can someboby explain which service is beter in turns of sending photos via the phone? They both cost about the same and I don't receive photos and are not planning on to.

Thanks in advance.

Picture messaging has now been seperated from T-Zones Data. This happend after RICH Communications took over T-Zones. The pic messaging feature also changed this week. It is now $2.99 for 20 messages with a .10 a mess overage charge. If you don't subscribe to this, it is .25 a message. The only way this isn't true is if you are still subscribed to an old T-Zones package. Good Luck PCW2

Thanks.

I end up calling them. What happen was I went to tmobile.com. There is a little flash movie about T-Zone. The movie shows a girl who order T-Zone walking down the street and saw this cute guy. She snap a picture and send it to her friend. Toward the end, it ask you to join T-Zone.

I spoke with a Sales Rep telling them the movie is misrepresenting since the movie supposes to give you the advantage of T-Zone. Taking picture and emailing to your friend is not part of T-Zone. They apologize about the misinform movie. Couldn't get anything out of them, not even a free car charger..... icon_confused.gif

Thanks for your reply again.

That's interesting. They can't be pretty firm when it comes to things like that . I find it to be one of their only Customer Service faults. Glad I could help.

An interesting sidebar to that conversation. When you buy a new phone like t610 or v300 it still has a sticker on it that says t-zones is neccesary to send pictures. They really should try to fix that. I know it's phones that were made before the conversion, but people need to think about things

So, am I correct in saying that T-Mobile Photo Messages can only be sent to other T-Mobile customers with camera phones? Are there any non-camera phones that can receive Photo Messages? And sending these Photo Messages to phones on other carriers is out of the question? Bout I don't need any of this T-Zone stuff to sent Photo Messages, right?

Yes there are non-camera phones that can recieve pics. The Samsung e105 is an example. I've never actually done it, but it does have the area in the menu for it. You don't need t-zones. In fact, I have found most people saying that they can access it for free right now. You can send pics at any time, but it is .25 a message if you don't sign up for the 2.99 pic messaging.

per the last post... the other phones that can recieve picture messages or mms are the samsung e105, nokia 3595, and the samsung x105. In order to get provisioned to recieve mms or picture messages is to send an mms to your own mobile # with the area code and that will provision you in the server to recieve mms.

Hey guys......let me get this straight, i have to subscribe to picture messeging for t-mobile to be able to send out picture messeges? OMG! are you serious? I'm from san francisco and i also have t-mobile. i just purchased my samsung E715. i took a couple of pictures and noticed that i couldnt send them to my friends that has camera phones and also has t-mobile. an error messege always came up saying that my picture can only be sent as text. then when my friend tried sending me a picture i got a messege saying that my phone can only recieve text messeges. this is so frustrating! if we have a camera phone, we should be able to send picture messeges for free. is it only t-mobile that you have to subscribe to picture messeging? how about AT&T? this page really helped me out cuz i thought there was something wrong with my phone already. thanx for the info guys!
