Hi.
I'm sorry if this question has been asked a number of times - I have looked but nothing seems pertinent.
I have recently purchased a data cable for my E700, and downloaded the EasyStudio PIMS and File Manager V. 1.0 software (on Windows ME), but I don't seem to be able to get it to work/ connect etc. It indicates that I am offline, but how does one get online? Or is that even the issue?
I am not very techno-savvy, so be gentle with me!

Do you have the PCB133LBE? And does the phone starts charging when you plug in the cable?

It is this cable here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3394917642&catego ry=42412&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWN%3AIT&rd=1
which I was told would be OK. (It doesn't have a number, that I can see.)
No, my phone does not start charging when I plug it in. Problem?
Thanks.

Hi,
Im having the same problem with "Easy"studio, but i am using the PCB093LBE cable and the phone starts charging when plugged in. This is my old V200 cable does that mean it can't be used?
Thanks for any help!

That is the main problem I am having, have had the phone for 4/5 months now and yet to find a cable to work. Tried infra-red and couldn't get any connection between the computer and phone. Data cable which gets the same "cannot read messages" error and today tried a USB cable and getting the same problem. Settings are on COM3 as thats the only port which seems to have any sort of connection. Tried it with the phone on and off but still cant get it to work.
Please someone help!!

If its connecting but you see a "Cannot Read Messages" message it mostly is the wrong cable. You should get the Serial PCB133LBE cable.
