The 6230 is a normal Series 40 phone, no Symbian OS.
Everything which works for a 6610, 6220, 3200, etc. should work fine.

Frm wat i know, for the mp3s, space must be present on the the phone mem even wen transferring the mp3 to the card, coz the phone mem acts as a sort of a buffer.

Use the "Nokia Application Installer" included with the Nokia PC-Suite to install games/apps

The phone is a Series 40 one with J2ME java support. You may find difficulty finding good free games as most of them you have to pay for.

All the methods above and both cables work fine.

Great phone. One of my favourites. No bugs/problems as of yet. Mp3 quality is amazing with a great bass loudspeaker.

In the "Nokia Phone Browser" select "Nokia 6230", click on Gallery then "Memory card" or whatever your MMC card is named. Then, simply drag and drop files onto there!

If u mean, pc to mmc via a card reader then yes, directly its possible.
If ur transferrin via bt or ir, it uses the phone memory as a buffer(Its the same case in S60 fones wen tryin to install sis files).

Hi I got a 6230 a few weeks ago it is a great phone, I use a IR dongle to transfer data to my phone you can transfer the data directly to the MMC card but the software (pc suite 5.8 came with the phone) had problems and would only let me transfer data to the phones memory (ie an MP3) then transfer it to the MMC card which is a real pain but i found pc suite 6.2 on nokia.com (search for it on the site) and it lets you transfer data directly to the MMC card. If you are going to buy any kind of data transfering thing buy a bluetooth dongle they're really fast, it takes me 30 mins to transfer eight 3-4mb mp3's using IR i believe that the bluetooth dongle is around 7 times faster than IR. I only have one question does any one know if there are any games you can play vs someone on bluetooth? Because with my phone i got beach rally 2 or something and it doesn't find my girlfriends 6230 but i can transfer files and stuff to here via bluetooth??? If anyone can help that'd be great

All apart from the DKU5. DKU2 Works with the 6230.
