Hello,
I bought an e700 today but my cable from my old V200 doesn´t work. My problem is that here in Germany the special data cable for the e700 is very expensive and an IrDA is mutch cheaper. So my question is if it is possible to flash my phone with an IrDA  or is an IrDA just god for uploading ringtones and pics ?

You can't flash with ir but you can do everything else with it.

than i try to get a seriell data cable by ebay.
But now I hava another question, I have E70XAWl1 firmware on my phone, wich firmware can I flash ( i need german language) and are there any mods for the e700 ?

http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic4919.html There are some firmwares. The ones that start like E70XA, AA, AB, AG, AY, BC, XC, XE, BB, BO, XB, BF, BG, CG, CB, WW, BW and a few more have Deutsch in it. http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic10691.html

But are there any mods for the e700 I woul like to have the matrix screen or something else as the standard animations on my phone...is there a way to get other animations on the screen ?
