(I did do a search and haven't found anything useful.)
How the hell do you download wallpaper onto the x426 phone?
I can't find an option for saving it if I browse it... and EazyGPRS doesn't seem to ahve any options for that.
I know I'm probably just a moron... but can someone spell out how this is done?
Gerhard
PS Are there any firmware updates available for this phone? (No the search shows bumpcus for that too....)

In easy GPRS, click on tools, then click on image to phone. That is a wallpaper. It accepts 128 x 128 gif's or jpg's. Good luck.

I just picked up my X426 and like it quite a bit. Trying to get it customized with my own rings and wallpaper.
Found EasyGPRS and am DLing it (why is it so huge? 40meg!?).
I assume it can do still images, but what about animated ones like the default wallpapers?

Ok. DLed and installed that HUGE monster of a program. And it appears that it only works by connecting to your phone via cable. Is this correct?
I just want to convert images to usable wallpapers. My other phone I just DLed the images as JPG or GIF and it used them.
Any thoughts on an application to do this conversion?

Yes it works with a cable, and you MUST get an OEM one. Aftermarket do not work. To use the image as wallpaper, you must make sure it is sized at 128 x 128 or smaller. Ther are free programs on the net that will resize photos. Search for JPEG resize or something like that. GOod luck.

I'm also having problems with wallpapers on my x426. My provider is AT&T wireless, I don't have a cable, I'm trying to dowload 128x128 images from wap.mobiledia.com and I keep getting the message "not acceptable." Samsung tech support said the actual resolution is 128x160, but attempting to download anything other than 128x128 gives me a "server error" message. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You could use a service like 3gupload.com which will convert the images for you, but also charges. As far as converting them, make sure that they are 128 * 128 or less. Sometimes paint and other programs that alter images can allow for a .something region of error and if is error that makes it larger, it will cause this problem. The other thing would be to try tagtag.com. They have proven to allow downloads of pictures with great success. G'luck!

That's all well and good, but what if we cheapies don't want to shell out the dough to get a cable? I've got my own webserver, so I can do whatever I want.
I have the image hosted, the phone DISPLAYS the image (when sent directly to the image, haven't tried having it "click" a link becau$e of bandwidth i$$ue$ on the phone)... but how do I make it SAVE the image?

Edit: LOL!!! Never mind, I just had to make an HTML page that links to it! Darn this AT&T nonsense.
