different speed when using gprs-modem?

sometimes i get 9.6kbit and other times i get 115kbit speed when using gprs-modem with my sgh-e700.. why does the speed change? even though i have selected the highest speed in the settings it wont always connect with that speed..

any sollutions?

i dont know for i have never used GPRS modem as it is a waste of time and money

its meant to be used when you have no other alternative.. like this easter at our cabin.. doh

yep, im using IRDA.. and i used this app: www.ircomm2k.de to make sure ive got a steady connection.. and the first time i got 115kbit.. but now i cant get anything more than 9.6kbit.. what kind of speed is the e700 supposed to connect with?

115 check your settings in the control panel.
