I made some research on N-Gage QD and compared its tech specs with standard N-Gage to post its news on our pocket gaming site (pgamers.com).
I found out that it is $100 cheaper than the standard N-Gage, but lacks the music features.
Below is my news item from pgamers.com
Today, Nokia put up the details about new N-Gage deck on n-gage.com. The new deck has the name N-Gage QD. QD stands for quaque die, Latin for Every Day.
However, this is not a second version of N-Gage as rumored. It doesn't have the mp3/aac player, the radio and comes with mono headsets. There is no usb slot as well. N-Gage QD will rely on Bluetooth.
Just like GBA SP, N-Gage QD was released as the result of the negative feedbacks from the users. It has a brighter screen, but without any change in resolution, it is still 4096 colors. Its ergonomics have been improved. The directional key is 9 way instead of 5 and there is a separate gaming key for quickstart of games. Moreover, the most criticized features have also been improved. You talk on the phone in the same good old way, no more sidetalking! And there is a new hot-swap MMC slot for changing games quicker, no need to remove the battery to change the game.
It is smaller, but thicker (thick as 3300) and the battery life is longer, (doubled for playing games).
It will be priced $/€199 which is about $/€100 cheaper than the standard N-Gage. Planned release date is May for Europe and June for the US.
If you want to listen to music, you should go for N-Gage (standard), but if gaming is enough for you, you should go for N-Gage QD. The original N-Gage will stay on the market. More information is available on the official site: http://www.n-gage.com

Well, on the many news items I've read, it says " maximum price of about 200 euros or $200." This is the official anouncement from Nokia. I guess that these are probable prices, they'll adjust it when it is released. Even if they don't N-Gage QD won't be a tri-band phone, so you won't be able to buy the US version just because it is cheaper.
Anyway, in the US, buying phones with contracts is much widespread, so US people will buy it even cheaper.
