Hello, I recently purchased the LG M4410. I find it to be a really great phone, however I have yet to be able to setup the settings for the MMS messaging with the cingular network. If anyone could provide this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if it's unlocked then MMS and WIX settings will not work.

What difference would it make if it's unlocked or not, cingular doesn't need to know the phone you're using unless they want to, the settings should work provided you use the right ports and addresses, there's a sticky at the top of the page with the cingular mms settings, try those,

Actually dude, unlocked phones WILL NOT WORK with MMS/WIX settings if it is a non-cingular phone.
I've troubleshot 486644864676487914118411000524 phones that are unbranded and unlocked with the correct settings and they have never ever ever worked because Cingular doesn't not guarentee that ANY service will work with unlocked non-Cingular branded phones.
Edit; as a matter of fact, I just had this type of call 10 mins ago - RAZR V3, but not cingular branded and unlocked - our settings will only work with compatible Cingular branded (and I mean phones that were original bought with new activation of Cingular and SAY Cingular on the phone) software and the settings.

accutlay dude your a moron, and have no idea what your talking about. Cingular doesnt support unlocked phone, but you can insert the setting and see if it works. theres a sticky on the top of the board that lists all setting for cingular phones fint the phoen that closest matched yours

and being it razr, it will generally work. if the phone is offered by cingular, but not cingular branded, it seems to have a better chance than a phone that is not offered by cingular.
but as it's said, puti n the settings and it should work.

Ouch no need for hostility, from my personal experience, every phone I've had that was unbranded except my old v180 I put in the settings and it worked to the fullest. Try the settings before you do anything drastic like flashing or returning the phone

mebbe you should have a look in the motorola forum....look for flex updates... the only difference between a tmobile V3 and a cingular V3 is the websessions menu....or the installed software....
the response you are giving is correct if you are talking to a customer on the phone... however you aint on the phone here... there are lots of things that be done without the constraints of company policy
