1) plug the cable in. It should automatically detect it. Use the driver on the CD supplied with the cable. If it does not auto detect it try another USB port - i had to try 2 before it detected it.
2) Install easy gprs - should be on the cd - else download it form the samsung web site.
3) plug phone in and hopefully it will work!
Mine on the other hand did not....
I also just received my datacable (USB) and am having problems.
I managed to install the cable (configured on COM4, Win XP pro) and I managed to install EASY GPRS v 2.1.8 that came with it, however I cannot seem to get it to communicate with the phone. All i get is this screen here:

Can anyone suggest what i do next? thanks!

- When you connect the cable to the phone do you hear toet?
- Is it a E715 USB cable and not a E700 USB cable?
- Did you changed the Com Port Settings in EasyGPRS?

When i connect the phn i get the "charging" beep - thats all.
The cable is a non-oem and has "SAM s300/308" written on it and is supposed to be for the 715.
Port settings are com4 on both the cable and easy GPRS.

Did you connected the cable to your phone before or after starting EasyGPRS?

It could be the cable or your computer. Try it on another pc.
