guys,
i think what - don - was implying is that if the cable charges your phone, then thats NOT a good thing
that correct don?

hey guys
i downloaded the PL-2303 Driver, installed it, found out that it operates on COM3
so went into easystudio, set it up so that i use COM3 on the highest port
click reload
still no luck at all, i cant do anything, still says offline

Yes its not good if it starts charging.

Which speed did you set for the cable? Did you tried 115200 or higher?

don,
i tried every speed on COM3 and confirmed that it was the COM3 port that was my usb cable through device manager
i installed and re-installed the driver numerous time but still no luck
however if i use infra red on my laptop, everything works fine, so its not the phone that is broken

nothing is working don
tried everything and no luck
even though my infrared works fine i still dont understand why the cable doesnt work!
i installed that easy sync program you told me to, and that doesnt work either
so the problem is with the cable i assume?
either its faulty or not the correct one?
or is it a driver issue? the driver im using at the momment is the PL 2303

Got the exact same cable from the exact same seller with the exact same problems. Absolutely shitting me! Wish I spent the extra for a proper 1!

I think that cable is for the E710/E715 and that person thought the phones where the same as the E700.
