the actual cable i got was one that had a e700 and e708 sticker on it

so i am assuming he has many variations for the cable and he sends the one that suits your phone

how do i get it to work ? when i plug the cable into my phone should be my do anything (alert etc.)?

when i start easy studio without the cable plugged into my PC i can only see a COM1 and COM2 port in Settings.

when i do plug it in, i get a COM3 port, which i assume is right port i should be usnig, but still no connection to my phone

whyyy

Hey
I've been having a similar problem with my USB data cable (looks similar to the one posted, however actually has a sticker saying 'E700' on it). All i've managed to get the cable to do is charge my phone - the Easystudio program is only ever in offline mode.
Anyone have any suggestions?

i have the exact same issue , it goes ding dong , and then starts charging my e700 but easy studio stays offline , the cable is usb for the e700 , i cant see where im going wrong , somone must have had the same issues and worked it out im sure , but im lost now and tried everything i can think of , so any suggestions would be a big help.

there was an earlier thread where a guy had this problem , then said a few things about speed , then said he had succeded and left without saying how he did it , we need him back here to tell us exactly what he did.

This was the thread and the people involved , http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic10111.html

if they could please stand up again and fill us in on how they did it , it would be greatly apreciated.
