hey guys,
i have this problem with using nokia suite with my FBUS cable and to be honest its really bugging me as i only have oxygen phone manager trial software! does anyone know of any software which can help me?
my phone is a nokia 7210..
When i install pc suite to detect my cable at COM1, the program states the phone can not be detected. This can't be true as my screen goes all wrong when its connected. The software, because of this problem, is useless. Can an FBUS cable (uses serial ports) work through the serial port with Nokia PC Suite 5.0? If not, can anybody highly recommend any other software titles i will be able to get my hands on for free - of course !
chrz,

Nokia PC Suite doesn't work with FBus-Cables (or MBus-Cables)! Only third party software (MobiMB, Oxygen) works with FBus-Cables and such phones (6610, 7210, etc.). It's recommand to have the DKU5-Cable or an infrared-device for using Nokia PC Suite with your phone.

I had the the same problem mate ....
PC Suite is simply not compatible with the FBus cable
You need Oxygen phone manager 2 vers2.1
or mobimb version 1.2
these both worked fine with my FBus cable and 7210
GOOD LUCK

I buy a serial data cable for nokia 6610, but don't know where to download its driver.
It is a simple cable, which work without battery. Could any one know where to find its driver.

There are no drivers! Plug the cable, start MobiMB or OxygenII (PC Suite never will work) and configure the connection within the program, that's all.

I find out that MobiMB only got FBUS, DLR-3 n DKU-5 cable option. What type if option is for my (simple) serial data cable?

FBUS.
DKU-5 Cable is the one which comes from Nokia for the Pop-Port.
DLR-3 Cable are for a few Nokia Phones (Nokia 6210, 6210e, 6250, 7110, 7110e, 7190)

I had find out an innovative way to download my wallpaper n ringtone. Check it out at my new topic posted.
But, unluckily I had bought a ST Lab USB-IrDA. The problem is dat the connection always disconnect. It says some thing block it or out of range. But I hav put my h/p near 2 it. I try to use oxygen n mobiMB n PC suite, but it's the same.
Is this the h/p or IrDA problem.
