I have a 6610 also. I can't seem to find a way to send my polytone to another fone. There's no 'send to a number' in the rintone menu, and there's no 'insert sound' in the mms options... Is this really the case?

Like abhishta dais: take it to a Nokia Care Centre, they are the only people who can help. I had a 6610 for 1 year, never had such trouble.

Yes, that's correct. But it can receive tones via MMS. But you've got consider that it's an old phone now, sending MMS with sound was never an option because the phone can't record any audio or video, so why sending tones. MMS is for sending greetings and not for spreading rintones illegal.

Well in that case, my ericsson T230 is better! It can send/forward polytones/sounds and has a sound recorder! ...I thought 6610 is better...

T230 is a newer fone as compared to 6610.
Now all the newer series 40 nokias with IR have the ability to send recieve via IR, like the 3200, 6220, 6230 etc.

I see.... but T230 is way much cheaper compared to 6610, considering that 6610 is older.

The cheap Motorola C450 of a friend could also send tones via MMS... the 6610 is still a nice phone. You've got to compare all features of the phone. When I did this the C450 did suck (especially the screen).

Yeah. The screen of 6610 is better than T230...
