hi I'm new here. I'm making a personal website at the moment and I'm wondering how I can upload pictures of my family I've taken with the camera that camewith it. Can people tell me all the methods? Do I need a USB data cable? Any help is appreciated. Good to be here.

First of all, welcome to Mobiledia.
Regarding ur query, u can use IrDA or a data cable for transferring stuff. For the former, u need a IrDA module. For the latter, please ensure that u have the latest version of Float's mobile agent software app. which enables 2 way transfer when using a data cable.

The IrDa is the abbreviation of Infrared Device
The IrDa module is a Infrared Drive that could be installed onto your PC just like a CD-Rom Drive on a PC..!
This wouldn't make any restrictions of connectivity..! Since the device supports all infrared devices.
You could buy one at E-Bay..! if you are interested..!
But according to my knowledge of using the Data Cable it did work on 98 Platform much better than the XP. I could only use the datacable to synchronize the phone book on my phone on XP. But on 98 i could send in files to the phones..! But anyhow i'm not sure about two way transffering on the DataCable. Anyhow i used Floats Mobile Agent But still didn't work.
Best Of Luck..!

Yah, hi,
Once you use an IrDa you are supposed just hold it on to the infrared device connected to the USB port of your computer..! you ask about a cable and then move onto an Infrared device..! ha ha ha..! that was smart..! Devraj..!
Anyhow once you have done the above you could send the image through infrared so that you could transffer it..! anyhow i recon windows xp for infrared devices..! but still you better try through installing FLOATS MOBILE AGENT on your pc and make sure that you better change the option of connecting onto IRDA..!
TOOLs-> Options-> under the connections tab... choose irda
bye,
