Howdy,
Currently while I'm waiting for my insurance claim to come through for my 6100 that was stolen, I was given a Ericsson A1018s to use. It has this really great feature...A CALL TIMER, that starts as soon as a call is connected and tells me excatly how long i've been on the call for.
So if a brick like my Ericsson can have a call timer, surely there must be a way for this to happen on my 6100? I've never seen this SO-CALLED feature on a Nokia YET... I've seen it on a crappy $99AUD Acutel, but not on my $1000 dollar 6100...
(Mabey they don't want us to know how long, we've been talking for to make more money for the service provider!)
I'm hoping someone can tell me otherwise, that this feature is avaliable on a 6100 and how to activate it. If crappy old fones can do it i'm sure my Nokia 6100 can...
Cheers

this is a feature (maybe the only one) i miss from my ericsson, the only "similar" thing i found on my nokia 6610 is a summary of the call, but this will only appears at the end of a call...btw i've never seen a "real time" timer during a call on my nokia :\

The N6100 and N7250 has got the features which will give you the duration of call after each call you have made.
To activate the feature, you need to go to <Settings> <Call Settings> <Summary after call> "ON".
I hope this is what you are looking for..

@tangkew, No, I'm looking for a timer that is displayed while the call is taking place with minutes and seconds. For example looking at my fone while i'm on a call, it has a timer ticking that I can see. For example is i had been talking for 7minutes and 38seconds, it would display 7:38etc
Cheers,

This is available on my 6610. I'm not too sure if it's on the 6100 as well. While on a call, try these. Press Options and select Menu. Go to Call Register and check the Active Call Timer. Remember to do these while on a call and not after a call.

Yep, it works on the N6100 & N7250. Pretty inconvenient though.

Hey
The problem is I should NOT have to activate it. It should start as soon as the call is started, I am so annoyed that Nokia's don't have this feature.
Cheers,

Wow! I didn't know that. One thing I missed from my Ericsson was the call timer but now that I've found out that it's in a menu option..."Goodbye and good riddence T18"!

@SupaStar, Can you tell me, does this timer option automatically stay on? What is mean does a timer start automatically when you start a call Just like an Ericssion (on the 6100)? (I can't test waiting for my new Nokia 6100)
Cheers,
