A800 flash and firmware help please ?

Hi all

I am enquiring from any of the top bods on some info to software. I have the great S300, and gave my son my old T1oo, both of which work very well. I have flashe dmy T100 many times with sucess.

However, now my son owns the phone, he has been uploadng pics and ring tones from the disk only on his PC. his friend turned up and they decided to load a clolour image onto his A800 from the disk, doh !

The phone would not turn on and i manged to remove the conflicting pic with the T100 data cable my boy has. But after he turnd the phone off an hour later it would not switch back on. I read this is a commen fault with teh earlier software, but now it's dead and just flashes 3 times on power up with nothing after.

I need some info on a flash prog and the new firmware for this model please if any body can help ? I visited the topic on flashers and software bu do not know the firmware in the phone as it is dead. I am hoping i can use the T100 cable i have.But had a job to find exactly what i needed.

Can any body point me in the right direction please ?

I was hoping you would see this as from reading previous post on here looking for firmware, you obviously know what your talking about.

I thought that at first, but even with the charger plugged in, im still getting the flash 3 times and then nothing but a thin black line around the screen edge.
Im using my charger ofcourse, but i figured the chargers are standard throughout and not different like the data cables.

Im attempting to charge now but the light on the front flashed ocne and nothing, plus there is no charging indicator on any screen.

So im figuring that it's either software or a fault. He was given the phone by someone else who never used it but had it for months and could not get on with it after a days trial. it's from a lady friend of his mothers so i doubt it was just pawned off due to being faulty.

I'll try to charge it anyhow, but in the meantime, if you could direct me to a firmware file, i would be very greatfull. Your ftp is not wokring for me at all and ive searched everywhere for it, but with no luck. Im assuming that i use toolbox to flash the phone ?

Anyway, i'll await your resposne and see if i cant fix it meself before sending it to a company it Oxfordhsire which they can reload the firmware ata reasonable cost of about £20, but as i say, it a last resort seeing as it was my son who did the damage.

i noticed it has modified application country fom teh text. This firmware will also read english as well ?

I assume from your previous post on this forum that i require toolbox to carry out teh flash ?

If so then i am getting this message:
Download Terminated.
Send First record Error
SGH-A800 selected.

Any ideas ? or am i going about this the worng way ?

The cable you need is the PCB117LBE and the cable your using (PCB037DBE) does work for sending tones but not for flashing.

Dunno what i did, but i reset the lot and then ran the flash prog..............yahoooooo!!!

All working again now

and one happy boy, not to mention me coz now i dont have to forkl out to a copany to get it sorted.

I shall be still popping in regular because there is some handy info you can get.
