I have downloaded some midi files onto my phone. I was tryijng to send them using the mobile, but a message "file format not supported" and the phone refuse to let me send the tone out. I tried a few other tones, not successful.
Does anyone know why? Can anyone help?

That's right, you can't send tone or picture using the IRA port from phone to phone. If you want to do so, you have to either use WAP or through a computer. Yup, I know it's not the easiest way. My boyfriend's T306 can do a much better than Nokia........

What if I sent it out as a message?
What's the purpose of the 'Send' function in the gallery menu?

the Nokia manual says that a multimedia msg can contain text, pic, and sound. I'm using a 7210, just wondering that if i can receive these things, isn't it automatic that i can also send them... no problems with pics and text..but i can't figure out how send a ringtone..the options menu only has "insert picture, insert number, and insert text" Pls help..

You can try by going to
Gallery, View folders, Tones, (pick one tone), Options, Send
[Edit]
Sorry guys, I just realised that the 'Send' option is not available on N6100, N6610 (at least not on the two phones I checked with).

i'm afraid my phone does not have the send option , the options i see are just - open, delete, move, rename, set as ringtone, details, ans sort - does it have something to do with the firmware? i'm running on a 3.09v...if i upgrade it, is it a guarantee that the SEND option will be available?

I am not too sure if the v4.74 will give you the option to send ringtone.
Can anyone enlighten us?
