All other features of DataSuite work fine, the irda connections works fine. The PC will not update with pics on the phone, even after clicking the update phone button. When i click this it goes through the process of updating, goes straight to 'completed', but nothing has been updated. Do i have to MMS all the pics i take with the camera to myself.....?? I think NOT.

I am using 5.1, although i have tried both versions... i have also tried to limit the ir port speed, this doesnt work either.. Everything works except being able to view and copy the files from the phone to the pc. The image converter allows me to put them on ok...

What a lot of trosh!! Have have bought the 7250 for the camera facility, bought the DKU-5 (USB Datacable), the MA620 (ir module) using Oxygen Handset Manager, Nokia Datasuite 5.1.6 (Latest as of 1/8/03), and the Mobile Action Datasuite.... Result.... Narda!!!!
I was able to install and download all images on first install, but subsequently NOTHING! Have phoned Nokia Tech, who were reasonably good, but to enable it to work again, one has to:
Uninstall the Datasuite
Trawl throught the registry (regedit) and delete all references of the Datasuite
Then reinstall.
It then installs and downloads the piccies, then subsequently NOTHING! (From Gallery that is. Everything else works fine).
I believe Nokia is producing a seriously flakey piece of SW, and that the limitations of Copyright on the Tones, has shot them in the foot, and it clamming up the functionality of the transfer of photos from the phone to the PC.
COME ON SORT IT OUT!!!
If I get a fix, I will post it on the Forum.....
Peace...

yeah i seem to have the same problems but with a 6610 :/
you get that problem with the ringtones too?
I called up nokia and yeah... the told me to do the same thing, cept they now have a small exe file which does the regedit job for you.
That really annoyed me too when I realised I wouldnt get the photos I took onto the PC :/
I'm just wondering though, ever noticed that its called 'Gallery' in the phone, and called 'My Gallery' in the phone browser... I wonder if that makes a difference. Also that the Ringtone folder is actually called 'Tones' in the phone, and the Picture Gallery is actually called 'Images'.
I tried creating a new folder in my phone and none of the folders see it either :/
The even stranger thing is that my phone wont connect to the Mobile-Action datasuite either... It shows 'connecting to phone' but it just keeps staying there flashing... IT dosent say 'cannot connect' etc even when after 10 mins

OK... I have solved it!!! It aint big / clever / or particularly pleasing!! After approx 2 weeks of Uninstaling this, Reinstalling that, removing this, removing that, deleting... You get the picture; I last spoke to Club Nokia Tech who told me to do the following (OS XP):
Go to processes in Task Manager, and stop the process - ncltray.exe
Delete the folder: C:\Documents and Settings\%Profile name%\Nokia Phone Browser (This can be a pain from "sharing violations" as it seems to hold memory resident, try moving it somewhere, then moving it to Recycle Bin)
Then rerun the PCSuite_eng.exe (the original install prog).
Select the Repair option
Allow to repair
Reboot
Give a name to the phone (This will prompt at first run)
Open Win Explorer, and the should appear....
Errr... Sounds good hey?... But did not fix.
Therefore:
Purchased the latest release of Oxygen Handset Manager.....
don't get me wrong, I ain't on commission, but this is seriously destressed and retired me from the woes of the DataSuite, and it really is the business!! Does everything you you want.. And more... Can connect multiple phones, different phones... Images.... Childsplay!!! Seriously, one of the best bits of software I have used for my phone! I can't say any fairer than that!?
Listen Oxygen, if you wanna dish out some commision for this, I will be the one outside the main entrance with me cap in me hand!!! Cheers!
All the best... Bring on the 6600... God forbid.
