Finally i've made my decision.
It wuz neither the 3200 nor the T610.
I saw this at the store and liked it. Wasnt too costly either.
Syncs with th PC Suite quite nicely. Everything's fine till now *touchwood*.
So just waiting for the new gprs settings to arrive(Its been 3 hrs) since i sent the message.

Nice decision
I like EDGE, which the 6220 has and I miss it at the 6600
The settings thing could be a problem even on the Nokia website it isn't possible to get them for the 6220 with Orange in India

The settings still havent arrived.
btw, bjoern, wat up with the proxy and all under the service settings.
I can manually enter the settings coz i know them, but the format for entering the settings is different as compared to the ones in the 6610, 3650 etc.
Any idea as to where to enter the ip address??
I cant seem to figure that out.
and before u say it, yes im going thru the manual as i type.

For WAP: the Proxy settings is the stuff with the IP. Second proxy is empty in my case.
For MMS: you enter them in the MMS settings in the message menu
Or did I get you wrong?
I thought, they don't support WAP 2.0? As I saw here:

(btw: dumb picture )

GPRS rocks!!! Its fasst!!!
I wuz right initially abt ip address thing. But it seems that here the ip address has to be entered as 010.010.001.100 as opposed to 10.10.1.100
Also the port has changed.

orange gprs is rs. 100.
If u download frm paid sites u get charged extra and if u download frm free sites u dont get charged anything.
So its effectively rs. 100
MMS requires a one time activation fee of rs 50 after which it is free(to anywhere in the world) as long as u keep subscribing to the 100 rs gprs every month.
For u to be able to use the fone as a modem, u will need the APN connection which costs rs. 500.
