Hi there,

I got an error message:

Error Number: 0x80040707
Description: DLL funtion Call crashed: PbkInstall._GetBookNames
Setup will now terminated.

Has anybody else had this kind of problem during the installation? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Henry

*Bet you both of you have Outlook 2003 installed*

Ok now that I have won that bet, I'll give ya the answer.

When the Error message pops up, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up task manager and End Task of the Application. That will prevent the setup routine from uninstalling the app and removing the registry settings. Now install the 2.16 update, then start Mobile Phone Tools and follow the instructions to install your phone. Once in the main program goto Setup and do the Live update to get your version up to 2.19a. icon_angel.gif

Yeah I did that and it works. Well I CTRL+ALT+DEL and just shut down. And reboot and put the update. Boom it works I thought I wasted 30 bucks icon_sad.gif But I didn't icon_smile.gif

I was trying to find out if the Moto c650 is compatible with mobilePhoneTools. From these posts it seems it is. Am i right and do you use the same methods and downloads for installation?

This could be caused by having security or antivirus software running such as Norton Internet Security. Disable this software then attempt to run the LiveUpdater. If this does not resolve the issue make sure you are not behind a firewall and if you are, remove yourself from the firewall and run the update again.
