I have tried and tried to upload with the methods which need codes.
But, all of them are useless with my E600.
So does anybody know the codes to enable/disable SERIAL DL for a E600?
Does the method whith TFS manager and Downloader is available with a E600?
Does Anybody know how to upload from the PC to the Phone the photo (not the pictures) which are needed for the photo call?
By advance thank you...

I have read the materials on link HOW-TO: Download E700 Java games by cable instead of WAP
and try download JAVA MIDlets by that method. No results (it is working ONLY with COM-data cable).
I have the USB-data cable, thus I propouse another look to this problem.
In the theory, USB-data cable driver simulates a COM-port (lastest avaleble port on you PC).
But the OS (such as Win98,Me,W2K) does not support direct link on other port that COM1.
In our case only WinXP can help us.
If you do step by step all what I write, you can upload the JAVA-games from PC to Samsung E700.
The next software you must have: WinXP, Samsung XXXX Java Uploader v1.1 by Jabberwock, JADmaker
(if you have only *.jar files) and installed right USB DATA-cable driver.
STEP1
CONNECT! the DATA-cable to E700 and PC.
Go to the Devices Manager
(Start->right click on MyComputer->properties->Devices->Device Manager, click on "LPT and COM Ports")
you can see something like "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM3)" - USB-bridge on COM3.
Double click on this device -> Port parameters
set up the port speed as 115200, flow control set as none (absent).
Note the number of COM-port which Data-cable is have.
STEP2
Go to the link http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic11850.html
and do all steps, wich listed there. You must choose Conection device as noted number of COM-port
(in this case - COM3)
In the properties of selected communication port set up the connection speed as 115200, flow control
set as none (absent).
STEP3
Once the connection has been created, right click on it and ensure
that the COM Port tick box is ticked, then in the "users" tab ensure that
"allow Palmtop computers to connect without a password" is also ticked.
That is all for hardware part.
STEP4
If you make all right, turn OFF your phone and then turn ON.
Enter the code to enable Serial Java download - #*536963#
It should display something like "serial enable, others disable" or similar.
Then enter the code #*5737425# and select ONCE option 1, "PPP UP"
(only once, otherwise the phone will reset).
The screen should flash white for maybe 1/2 a second.
In the system tray (near the clock) the icon of connection must appear.
If it's happened - you on the right way.
STEP5
Run the "Samsung XXXX Java Uploader", open game file.
Select option 2 and Enjoy!

Hola,
Ok, most the steps worked except the Baudrate is 9600 max. for me (using win2000 and data cable simulating com3) and that there is no Incoming Connections icon showing up in the system tray when I press PPP UP once, and phone reboots when I attempt transfer
Serg says 'But the OS (such as Win98,Me,W2K) does not support direct link on other port that COM1."
So does that mean only COM1 on Windows2000 can suppose 115,200 baudrate?
Cause my COM1 is in use by something :/
Can I release whatevers on it and use that for the e700?
btw, nothing is physically connected to COM1 at the back of my comp.
Thanks!

Hi boys and girls!
As I say *ONLY WinXP* can solve this problem.
My W2K can direct connect only on COM1, and max baudrate is 19200.
What I meen. You can set in device manager the baudrate 115200 on any COM-port
in you comp, but in direct connection it is not help - 19200 and ALES!
The root of problem is in drivers W2K - we can nothing to do here.
Thus, W2K+USB+e700 did not working.
As for W2K:
It is a very nice OS (+NTFS). I use it more than 2 years. No problems.
But in our case - W2K does not work.
I personaly chek W2K, Win98, WinME.
You may disable COM1 & COM2 in motherboard BIOS (the W2K assign USB bridge on COM1 automaticaly),
but you CAN NOT ASSIGN CORRECT BAUDRATE to USB bridge (more than 19200).
Do not waste your time. Trust me - ONLY WinXP+USB+e700 can make up right connection!
May be it is time to change the OS?

That kinda makes sense, but it is hard to understand what you are trying to say. Either way. Win2k + serial + samsung phone works for me.

Hi Everybody,
At last after making two more changes in WINXP I am able to download games from my PC to Phone.
First u should disable all other connections which u r making outside of ur PC like LAN, ISP etc. except the one which u made to download games to ur phone.
http://www.geocities.com/hrjiwani/NC.jpg
Secondly in properties of your incoming connection u should check mark on " Allow Others To Make Private Connections To My Computer ... "
http://www.geocities.com/hrjiwani/ICP.jpg
After making these two changes I am able to download games to my X100 that means it should work for others also ...
Note : Only checked On WinXP SP2 RC2 Build Version 2162
