Found this over at Howardforums, but havent seen it here, so thought would let you guys in on it ..... Have translated and provided pics in english

This will *only* work with a serial cable, ie no usb/irda.

First up, you need to create a new network connection as shown in the diagrams below:

Click on 'Properties'

It will ask you to specify who has the privileges to use the connection - choose which ones you fancy (at least yourself and administrator tho!)

Once the connection has been created, right click on it and ensure that the COM Port tick box is ticked, then in the "users" tab ensure that "allow Palmtop computers to connect without a password" is also ticked.

And thats the connection sorted.

Then you need to download the Uploader at http://malschaun.at.interims.de/Uploader (be sure to "save target as")

After this, enter the code to enable Serial Java download - #*536963#
It should display something like "serial enable, others disable" or similar.

Then enter the code #*5737425# and select *once* option 1, "PPP UP" (only once, otherwise the phone will reset) . The screen should flash white for maybe 1/2 a second.

Fire up the uploader software then load the Midlets you want into it.

Finallly select option 2 "Serial Download" from the #*5737425# menu and the download should begin.

Enjoy!!

Afterwards you should enter this code to reactivate the normal WAP-Download function:

Thanks for the guide icon_smile.gif

However, it seems that the code #*536963# does not work with E710 icon_sad.gif

That uploader software doesn't seem to do anything, i 'saved target as' and when i double click on it it asks me what program i'd like to use to open it. I tried changing it to an exe file by renaming it but that didn't do anything either, anyone know how to use it or where you can download a working one (if its not working)?

Thanks - Rob

Rob - The Uploader comes in a zip file - you'll need an extractor such as Winzip or winrar. Trial versions available at download.com for free. Once the zip is opened, youll be able to get at the actual exe.

Not sure about whether it works via usb - doubt it as you got to set the network connection up and i dont think windows will let you pick USB as the connection type.

Hope this helps

Sorry for asking something different but I think you can tell me...

I have some java (jad, jar) I used to upload in Nokia 7650.
Do you think I can use them in E700?
Are these phones compatible (Java)?

Thanks...
