Then you do not have the correct EasyStudio. I had the same situation with my P738. P738 is really the same model as P730/P735 of United States and Europe, but only distributed in Asia. Therefore, if I downloaded the EasyStudio from United States, I would have the same file manager problem as you had. After I download the EasyStudio from Hong Kong site, the file manager worked.
Samsung did this on purpose. They do not want people buy the same phone from the other region with lower price tag. Furthermore, some oem do not work with retail's software either.
This is my first and last Samsung phone. Motorola has much more solid design.
