hello folk im new here so be a little patient with me, i recently purchased a samsung a800 from auction and after charging it up no matter what sim card i put in it it come up with, WARNING SIMLOCK, and then says enter password., any ideas on how to sort this out ? can it be removed some how, i also have a data cable for it, thanks in advance for any help

Try *2767*637# without simcard in the phone.

the first error message after switching it on says warning simlock in a circle with a dash through it, and then it changes to a box on the inner screen that says enter password, but on the small outside screen it says sim lock,also on the inner screen there is a tiny picture of a van with a plus sign on it,
