Has anyone ever used an unlocked motorola a630 on the cingular network? If so, are there any known problems and do all the features of the phone work with Cingular? Is there any place on the web I can go to learn how to configure this phone for IM, html, wap, etc.
Thanks in advance!

I just switched to Cingular from AT&T and bought a RAZR V3 phone. My Siemans S46 is still working fine on all the frequencies used in this area and I wanted to give it to my neice who lives in MD and already has Cingular service. I tried putting my Cingular sim in the Siemans phone and it wont accept it at all. The local dealer tells me that AT&T hard wires all their phones to the AT&T network and a Cingular sim will not work in them. Can I unlock this phone so my neice can use it or do I have to throw it away?

For the guy with the 5190, press *#06#. Post a note with the resulting IMEI #... your unlock code should be posted shortly thereafter; then you can put a new SIM card from anyone without any problems...
