I've just got a 6230 and I've had a few problems with it. Was wondering if anyone else had the same trouble. First when i go into the names function and select caller groups, the phone returns to the main wallpaper instead of taking me into vip, family, friends etc... Also the somtimes phone wont let me delete pictures from my image files, and when going into the gallery the folders show there is contents in them but when you go into them they are empty. This is when i know there is definatly stuff in them. When i turn the phone off then on again the problems cures themselves for a while but will happen again another time. So i have to turn off and on again. Any ideas anyone?

OK dude....for the caller groups thing...u have to reset ur phone to factory settings once....as for deleting the pics....u have 2 restart the phone right....That is curable by updating ur firmware from ur Nokia service centre...
These are the only 2 glitches in the Nokia 6230....Best of Luck

I have been 6230 for little over 6 months and have witnessed 2 problems.
1) I have problem connecting my headset. It doesn't recognize at times and with some tweaking around I can manage to get one side of the headset to work.
2) I get "Error in Connection" when making calls pretty often. I switch off and switch it back on and it works fine.
Does anyone have the same problems? If it helps, I picked it up from Singapore during one of my visits.
Where and how do you get the latest firmware? Mine seems to have V3.14. Are firmwares downloadable?
I plan to take it to the nokia service center anyway cuz it is under warranty. Hopefully they should be able to sort it out.

are you sure the headset connector or the pop port isnt damaged in any way? just check. ive never had a problem connecting with the headset, had problems with the phone not accepting data cables tho.
and the "error in conn" seems to be service provider related, ive never had that prob.
id suggest you go to your nokia centre and ask em about the headset. its also the only "safe" way of upgrading your firmware. i believe most of the probs will be fixed after a visit to the nokia centre

I also am experiencing the "Error In Connection" problem with my nokia 6230.
I've had this phone for 3 weeks now, and it worked fine until just today.
No, all of the sudden, I can only receive calls, can't make any outgoing phone calls without experiencing the "Error In Connection".
To help rule out my Service Provider, I transfered my SIM Card to my old phone and outgoing calls work fine there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am also contacting my provider to find out if they have a fix or if they end up just replacing the phone.
I'll post my findings as they come in. Thanks in advance for any support.

Well, by conducting a Factory Reset, the "Error In Connection" has gone away.
I'll let everyone know if it returns. Maybe it's a bug with these 6230's. I'm sure Nokia would love to hear that

"Error in connection" can be that you've changed the outgoing line. Look at the "Goto" menu or in the settings for Change outgoing line".

Hey Tmobileuser,
A friend of mine is having the same problem. Did you totally solve “error in connection” problem after the factory reset? Thanks.
