Hi....I will be visiting Europe (Sweden to be specific) a few months later and then to States from there...So i wanted to purchase a Triband phone which i think is necessary if I plan to visit these places and come back to Mumbai... The models which impressed me a lot were 3200,7250i,6820,6600,6230 and N-Gage (am just ok with it though) ... Can you please help me in selecting a decent feature packed phone... and also suggest as to where I should get the cell from... I plan to take a stop-over in Dubai on my way to Sweden.... Also, what will be the prices of these models in India or from wherever I can get them at the best prices... Thanks..

7250i is quite old, not a good choice. Same with the N-Gage (and you would look stupid when you make a call).

Depends on the money you've got.

The battery of the 6600 won't maintain for a long time.

The 3200 is nice but the memory is very small.

For the 6820 I give no comment, I don't like the look icon_biggrin.gif

You might also think about the 6220, nice phone with good features, good memory (about 4MB). I quite like the 7250i, but better icon_biggrin.gif

I would get the 6230 if I've got to choice between those. It has good features, a mp3-player, not to big. It's a Series 40 phone and no smartphone, but it's quite the best in its class.

thanks for the quotes but am still undecided about 6230 and 6600. i like the features of 6230... which are missing in 6600 like fm radio and mp3. But what are the disadvantages in going for 6230 over 6600, considering that i plan to use this cell for let us say 2 years at the least?

If you really plan for two years, I would take the 6230. Charging the 6600 every 2-3 days could be very annoying.

I know, you can do more with the 6600 than with the 6230, but the 6230 has a much better sound than the 6600. And when the 7610 comes in a few month, the 6600 and the 6230 won't be good anymore, because the 7610 is a kick-ass-phone...

The 7610 is announced for the 2nd quarter this year, so it would be released end of june I think /and hope). Might come later.

The price onna be f*cking high, for germany it's announced with 599 Euro (31,964.97 InR) without a contract, but that is the same price the 6600 once had.

But like always: you buy something, a few days later is something better announced... the cellphone buisness is too fast...

My visits are planned towards the end of August, and if the thing about N6600 is what u say, do u think that I may get N7610 at the current N6600 or 6230 prices in Dubai?
