hi everyone,

anyone try using a BT headset with nokia 6230? The default screen saver mode seems to cut my bluetooth connection off with the headset some times..

is there any way to disable the default screen saver mode ?

I think that u can stop the screen saver mode by turning it off....check the personalize section in ur profile menu..u should have a choice to shut off screen saver

my screen saver is already off , its the default clock screen saver on 6230 , how to turn that off so it will not be in screen saving mode at all...

Original Nokia Headset or third party headset? That might be a problem because of the headset itself if it's a third party one.

The screensaver can't be deactivated.

hmm..

i'm using a third party BT headset. Looks like i have to do more testing.

before i use the BT headset , i tried to transfer 200mb of mp3 files from my PC to the phone using BT, the connection will be cut off when the phone goes into the screen saver mode so i have to set a screen saver to set the timing of 60mins to the get mp3s over, so i am wondering is it the screen saver mode that will save power and cut off the blue tooth device..

Better buy a card reader icon_biggrin.gif transfering 200mb of mp3s takes years icon_lol.gif I transfered once one to my 6600... way to long...

Sounds logical about the power saving. But it should reconnect when the screensaver goes off, or?

That's kind of weird ... i've never expereinced a BT 'cut-off' on my phone and i have transferred loads.

If the problem persists, u can also set another screensaver, like a normal .jpg one?! .. or u can keep pressing left or right on the phone to stop the screensaver happening.

Alternatively, just open the menu screen (where it says 'Messages') then, the screensaver won't activate no matter how long u leave it but the screen will turn off the back-light.

Hope this helps!
