Hi
Purchased a bluetooth adaptor for £49.99 from Carphone Warehouse, who assured me it worked, it doesn't.
I want to transfer my Microsoft Outlook Contacts to my phone, some 490 of them, but I can't open the software that came with the phone because it insists that my phone be connected to the computer first and despite doing everything possible and spending some 8-9 hours on it, th Nokia software can find my phone. I have paired the phone with the computer using the TDK software and can send data from Outlook to the phone as a text message, but then I have to save the information to the phone and also delete the original message - no mean task with nearly 500 entries!!
Has anybody else purchased a bluetooth adaptor and managed to make it work and if so what model?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Michael

Do you have correctly configured the MRouter which is installed with the Nokia Software?
Without configuring it, it won't work. You need to assign the MRouter with the COM-Port which is ment to be used with client-software.

Thanks for the reply. When I open the MRouter and choose Properties the Connections Properties window the only connection available is the infrared. There is no option, for I assume, Bluetooth. If I choose Change Devices, there are no known devices and no unknown devices.
I also checked with the Nokia site that my version of the PC Suite was the latest and it is.
What next, please help

Many thanks for your help, the last response looks particularly helpful, many thanks again, shall return when I've gone through it and post the results.

Have exhausted all efforts to make the TDK bluetooth adaptor work, so it will be returned to Carphone Warehouse (who have been totally useless in helping with the problem) A work colleague has the same phone and has purchased an adapter for £15.00 which apparantlt works. Will report back once I have the full details.
Thanks for all your help.
