Just wondering what kind of battery life other people out there are experiencing with the v600. I got mine on the weekend (Sunday) and did a full charge and it ran down over Monday and needed charging again lastnight. I haven't really been doing anything too strenuous to it so I cannot understand why it is running down so quickly.
I've also had a rather odd thing happen where my phone turned itself off (yes completely off not just going into a screensaver) and I had to press the power button to get it to start up again. It's done this twice and the first time it did it I actually had to prise the battery out, re-seat it and then start the phone up again because for some reason it had a ghostly image of the time still displaying on the outside cover.
Anyone got any ideas?

I believe the battery meter is not very accurate. I bought the V600 Thursday and fully charged it. But I the next day i forgot to charge during the day I was check out the battery charge, it never went below full charge, all of a sudden it went down to one bar. and said that I needed to recharge soon. Like I said it's not very accurate. Anyone have this problem?

I woke up this morning and found it had crashed again. It had the ghost image of the time it crashed on the front of the phone again as well. I'm going to return it ASAP because clearly there's a problem with my particular phone.
Cheers for the advice everyone.

I've had my v600 for bout a month. On a full charge and with bluetooth powered off I got around 3 days , maybe 2 to 3 full hours of talk time, before it warned me to recharge the battery.
I definately do not trust the meter. One minute I have 2/3 bars then it suddenly flashes red after a call. I've also seen where it states charge complete on the charger but after a quick call it goes back to charging on 1 out of 3 bars.
I just keep it plugged into the car charger now and don't worry about it.

Best thing to do to condition your battery is to run it down completely until the phone turns itself off due to lack off power , then fully charge it for twelve hours then run it down again as bfore then charge for twelve hours.
This should fully condition the battery and you should get a good life, ( and good talk time) from the battery there after.
Had my v600 for about two months, excellent talk time and stand by time, No problems here. Am a bit peeved about the fact it's only got 5mb memory though.

This is news to me... Lithion batteris are not supposed to have memories. Nikads on the other hand do and those you DO need to completly run dead before using.
but as far as i know Lithium batteries dont need to be de-charged for optimum prefromance. However they do have a shelf life of 2 years or so (maybee 3?). where they wont hold a charge no matter what you do.

That was the advice given to me when I purchased my phone, I followed it and it seems to have worked as described, you may be correct about the memory though!

I had the ghost image appear on my phone today.
I thought it was due to heat wave that we are having here.
I was wondering if I should send my phone back to AT&T?
If I do send my phone back to them, it be the third phone that I would have sent back to them via there insurance program. I wonder will they give me a hard time?

If the phone is dodgy then it falls into the category of NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE thus sending it back a third time should make no difference at all.
Does the phone work as it should apart from the battery problem you a suffering? and the odd crash?
