A few codes for you to play with.. but don't blame me if anything goes wrong
READ the warnings beside the Codes
*#9000# - SIM Lock
Makes the phone refuse every other card then the one presently active. You can enter the card exchange password. WARNING ! The asterisks are displayed while entering password and no verification is required. In case of mistyping the password you probably won't be able to deactivate this feature. Phone will block itself with message Phone is blocked after 10 wrong password entries. Reactivation is very difficult.

Hi,
Someone somewhere on the Samsung Talk Forum mentioned a way to get to phone numbers using a code (i.e. not through pushing the phonebook or using the speed dial key but by typing something like *#1234#)
But I can't remember exactly what the form was and I also can no longer find the post.
Can anyone help me?

You can access a number if you know what slot in the sim it is occupying. For example open flip and type 23#. It will display what number is assigned to slot 23 on your sim with the option to dial it. Hope this helps

The Samsung V205 is from T-Mobile, and they've locked their units so that you can't use SIM cards from other carriers besides them. By unlocking the phone, you could use the phone with any carrier using the GSM SIM card technology, allowing you to use it pretty much anywhere in the world.
