I;ve been looking through these forums and found that although people have had simmilar problems with data cables none of them actualy have had this problem so can anybody help me
I've succesfully installed the drivers and pimms easy studio
i connect the usb end of the data cable to the computer and the computer recognises it
i conect the other to my phone and the phone makes a sound (but doesn't charge)
i fire up easy studio and it comes up with an error saying cannot open port.
the next error says Unable to initialise DAO/Jet Db Engine
then nothing else happens it just has the splash screen saying that it is importing the phone data (but isn't actualy doing anything)
I've had this problem before but i did something and got it to work, but when i restart the program it comes up with the dao/jet db enigine error every time.
could somebody please help me becuase i'm getting very frustrated

1) Un-install your current software
2) Go to the UK Samsungmobile website and re-download File Manager AND Internet Access
3) Install them both, fingers crossed that's problem sorted!! Worked for me! If you need the URL for the download (can't post links here), drop me a line at my email below.
All the best,
Ian

Are you read other posts in this forum??? I said today: Function Melody To Phone is active only for older samsung models like S500, and to get access to image editor you must download Easy Image Editor

To transfer pics and ringtones, just go to Tools and click on File Manager. Then just make sure you select the correct folder on your phone (images for pics and sounds for ringtones, otherwise it wont let you upload the file) and you're sorted.
