Hi. If I was to upgrade the firmware on my Nokia 3200 from 3.08 to 3.12, would it change the brightness of my keypad backlights, as my friend has a 3200 aswell with version 3.12 firmware, and his keypad backlight is a MUCH brighter white light then mine. Thanks

I don't think so about the keypad light, this is afaik no firmware-issue.

so this is a problem with the actual phone? has anyone else had this problem? is there any way of fixing it?

If the difference is really that bad, you might ask the Nokia Care Centre about it.

what does firmware really change on a phone? CAN it change the brightness of the keypad backlights, and can you change menu icons?

what is the latest firmware version for the Nokia 3200. Is it v4.16 or v3.12?
